Alexis Wooden, LPC

Owner and Clinician

Professional woman with dark curly hair, wearing a white blazer and pearl earrings, in an office setting.

Alexis Wooden is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and is the founder of Heard & Co Counseling. Alexis is passionate about creating a space where people feel truly seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

Alexis works with preteens, teens, adults up to age 65, and athletes of all ages who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, life transitions, or performance-related pressure. Her goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

As a former athlete, Alexis understands firsthand the unique mental and emotional pressures that come with competition, expectations, and identity both on and off the field. That perspective allows me to connect deeply with athletes and high-achievers who are striving to perform at their best while maintaining balance and emotional well-being.

In our sessions, you can expect a down-to-earth, judgment-free environment where we work together to uncover what’s holding you back and build healthy ways to move forward. Alexis draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based approaches — blending proven strategies with genuine connection.

Alexis believes that healing and growth happen when you feel heard, understood, and encouraged to show up as your authentic self. Whether you’re looking to manage stress, improve focus, cope with loss, or build resilience under pressure. She will help you find balance and purpose at your own pace.

At Heard & Co Counseling, clients are met with compassion and understanding, knowing they never have to face their journey alone.
